Printing PDF Files

The Adobe Acrobat Reader print function can be set to shrink or expand pages. This will cause patterns included in Pattern Design Guides to be printed incorrectly. The phrasing of this function depends on the version of Acrobat that you are using. Specific instructions are included with each of my PDF files and are also available in the PDF Test File which you may download below. To verify the patterns are printed the correct size, appropriate pages includes a blue box around the margins that is exactly 8" x 10" (20.3cm x 25.4cm).

Another problem you may encounter with some computer/printer combinations is that additional characters may be printed. These characters do not appear when the pages are displayed. When this happens, use the "Print as image" function. Download the PDF Test File to see the checkbox for this feature. The PDF test file includes the following pages.
