How to Make Bikinis and Bandeaux

This eBook shows how to create patterns for garments based on Bikini and Bandeau shapes from swimsuits to wedding dresses as well as underwear, tops, dress, and gowns. It includes instructions for making fitted bottoms that can be used either for swimsuits or panties.

It uses a design system that starts by determining the design lines directly on the body using velcro and bias tape. Measurements are taken from which a pattern is drafted for one of the four styles shown below. These patterns can then be modified to create a variety of different garments.

This approach to creating patterns means that very little, if any, fitting will be required. The only patterns that need some fitting are the Bikini with a dart and the Bandeau.
